Sports Kansas Metropolis Chiefs defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs grew to become himself in to the Tuscaloosa County Detention heart on Thursday on misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.
Buggs was once later launched on $600 bond for two counts of cruelty to dogs in the second stage.
The Tuscaloosa Police Division came all the procedure via two dogs that had been “significantly malnourished” and “emaciated” March 28 on the lend a hand porch of a condominium that Buggs had rented, in step with court documents. Buggs’ agent, Trey Robinson, issued an announcement this week pronouncing that the participant “vehemently denies” the allegations and that the dogs did not belong to him.
“Under no conditions does Mr. Buggs condone the mistreatment of any animal,” Robinson acknowledged, declining to answer to further questions.
Robinson acknowledged Buggs did not know they had been soundless on the property and is the target of a “subversive advertising and marketing campaign” to conclude down a hookah lounge he owns.
The 27-twelve months-mature Buggs is a stale Alabama participant who spent three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and two with the Detroit Lions. He joined the Colossal Bowl champion Chiefs in January as a word squad participant and got a futures contract in February.
